It's an odd picture.  I'm not entirely sure I understand what the picture means, but it is the cover art to one of my all-time favorite albums, Neutral Milk Hotel's "In the Aeroplane Over the Sea".  It is so good.  The lead singer in from Louisiana too!  Their first album was called "On Avery Island".
